So, here it is. After five nerve-jangling months with a new baby boy, the stress finally got too much and I snapped and beat my husband over the head with a spanner.
Er, no. Actually, I spoke with my mum and dad and they agreed to take all three kids for a fortnight so my hubby and I could go for a two-week break to St. Lucia.
Actually, I didn't realise how tired and knackered I was - we've been here for three days and this is the first time we've done anything outside the hotel. First priority, of course, was to find an internet cafe, because the wi-fi at the hotel is too slow and clunky. Would you believe it took nearly three minutes to load this 'new journal entry' page?
I've averaged 14 hours a day sleep since we got here - and the hotel has no families, so there are just adults there. No wild parties, no noise, just the bliss of staying in bed asleep until mid-day - something I never get the chance to do at home.
So, we're here for another 11 days, I have a budget of not more than £9,500 to spend while here, I've just discovered in the last half hour that we can get the mini-bar restocked (that didn't last long), and I'm about to get into one of the biggest baths I've ever seen. Like a small swimming pool, it is.
So, er, hiya! Keep doing what you're doing, and try to have fun, and I'll update in a few days to a week.
